Meet Madison
Madison is a Pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor who honors walking the path to healing with every client. Recently graduated from Antioch University of New England with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Madison brings a fresh mindset to whole person care with years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a wide range of environments including public education, family resource centers, and mental health private practices.
Madison specializes in individual counseling with ages 4-30. Using child centered play therapy and other child led modalities, Madison is able to enter a child’s world in the way that makes most sense to them: through non-directive play at their own pace. As Virginia Axline once said, "Enter into children's play, and you will find the place where their minds, hearts, and souls meet."With this, her passion is planted in the belief that every child deserves a sacred space that fosters authentic self expression, a sense of belonging, and emotional safety. Carrying these themes into Madison’s work with teens and young adults, each client will have the opportunity to explore the root of their struggles with an emphasis on self compassion and empowerment. Madison enjoys being creative with what therapy can look like and makes collaboration the core of every therapeutic relationship.
Outside of Madison’s work, you can find Madison taking any opportunity to be grounded in nature with her soul-dog, Althea (pictured above - who is training towards hopefully working with her as a therapy dog within the next few years), reading entire books in one sitting, and trying new baking recipes.
Whether it be at the office/play therapy room, in schools, online, or outside doing a walk and talk session, Madison is ready to provide a welcoming and compassionate space to support you and your story.’
